The plan was to fly the sand dunes inside the reserve and have a good dose of sun and farniente. There we met up with a French traveller and paragliding pilot that we had met by chance on the flying spot in Lima. The first one since the beginning of the trip!
In Paracas we had the contact of the paragliding and kite guru, Jose Rosas. We met Jose in his restaurant for a chat on the first night. He welcomed us very warmly and offered to take us to the paragliding spot in his shiny 4x4 the next day. Perfect! Jose was a bit like The Godfather in Paracas. A restaurant, a kite school, a nice house, shiny 4x4, a Russian wife and a "boy" coming with him everywhere helping him with his paragliding kit and any other matter. Really funny.
So on the next day we headed fairly early to the dune. We had an excelent day of flying and playing on what Jose called the Peruvian Dune de Pyla. It was cool to have Patricia with us, more pilots more fun!

On the second day we decided to head to the spot by bike in order to exercise a bit and not to pay the taxi. Hard work under the sweltering heat.
On the way back we did a nice loop and cycled with the gliders through lunar landscapes.
The other big attraction in Paracas for us has been the seafood! We went to the nearby village of San Andres to get some extra fresh seafood (and ridiculously cheap). We bought enough scallops whelks and other unknown shellfish to have an orgy. Accompanied with a bit of white wine it was just delicious.
